- 01Defensive line dropping too deep
Push defensive line higher and compress midfield. Hold line until trigger (e.g. ball played backwards). Use offside trap when ball is played sideways.
- 02Midfield too spread out
Keep compact triangle shape. #6 stays central as anchor, #8 and #10 stay within 15m of each other. Verbal cues: 'squeeze' when ball goes wide.
- 03Slow transition to attack
Immediate forward pass after recovery. First touch should be forward or to a runner. Designate 'outlet' players who make early runs on turnovers.
