    Poor Rest Defence

    What it means

While in possession your team commits too many players forward. Centre-backs are isolated, full-backs are high, and there is no screen in front of the back line.

    Why it hurts your team

Every turnover becomes a long counter-attack against a stretched team. You are conceding shots from situations that begin in your own attacking actions.

    What to fix

    • Mandate 3+1 minimum behind the ball during sustained possession.
    • Stagger full-backs, never both advancing simultaneously.
    • Assign the deepest midfielder as the rest-defence anchor with no licence to join attacks.
    • Train the recovery sprint as a non-negotiable behaviour.
